How to Upgrade Your Storage and RAM

Upgrading Storage

Step 1: Determine Storage Options

• Check Available Slots: Identify the available slots for additional storage. For example, if your PC has one M.2 slot already in use, you may need to install a 2.5" SSD behind the motherboard.
• Verify Compatibility: Ensure the new storage device is compatible with your system.

Step 2: Install the New Storage Device

• Prepare the SSD: Ensure you have a small M.2 screw or SATA cables depending on the drive type.
• Install the SSD: Follow the motherboard’s design—some use latches.
• Secure the SSD: Make sure it’s properly installed.

Step 3: Recognize the New Storage

• Boot the System: Start your PC.
• Initialize the SSD in Disk Management: If it's not showing up, right-click Start → Disk Management → Initialize Disk → choose MBR or GPT → Create a new volume and assign a drive letter.

Upgrading RAM

Step 1: Determine RAM Compatibility
