iBUYPOWER recently participated in the Adopting Excellence program with Intel and Generation Esports. In an effort to further advance the presence of esports in education, we, along with our partners, helped build out the esports labs of two Georgia schools with some of the newest iBUYPOWER gaming PCs. Between Global Impact Academy and Little Mill Middle School, we provided 24 PC systems, 12 to each school, boasting the latest Intel technology.

Industry leaders from iBUYPOWER, Intel, and Generation Esports even spoke in various panels on career opportunities within the esports industry. We helped provide insights to students and educators on how a career in gaming is possible in more ways than just becoming a streamer.

Adopting Excellence: Powered by iBUYPOWER

The goal of Generation Esports’ Adopting Excellence program is to increase interest in student learning through esports and PC gaming activities. Turning video games to an education setting generates many elements similar to traditional sports. Coordination, critical thinking, social skills, conflict resolution, and more are just a few skills learned from gaming. Honing in on these skills through a fun and exciting environment better fosters learning for career and growth opportunities.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) studies in particular see more interest from students in esports programs. High-performance iBUYPOWER PC systems ensure that stressful school activities like software coding and graphic design can easily be done. These skills can also help students transition into other high school and collegiate esports programs.

Esports and Gaming for Schools

Industry leaders from iBUYPOWER, Intel, and Generation Esports even spoke in various panels on career opportunities within the esports industry. We helped provide insights to students and educators on how a career in gaming is possible in more ways than just becoming a streamer.

Atlanta-based esports organization Ghost Gaming even joined us to support its local communities! Besides their recent partnership with Generation Esports, the team holds rosters in Rocket League, Fortnite, VALORANT, and more.

Supporting schools and educational facilities is one of iBUYPOWER’s community goals. Thanks to Intel and Generation Esports, we helped Global Impact Academy and Little Mill Middle School open new doors for kids. Stay tuned for our next community initiatives planned for 2022.
