System noise is a combination of many factors, including chassis vibration, fan noise generated by noisy bearings or inefficient cooling systems, and spinning drives. High-end systems require better cooling and more fans, and generate more noise because of this. The iBUYPOWER Harmony SRS Sound Reduction System is designed to reduce noise in three major categories:
- Noise transmitted through the case panels
- Noise caused by chassis vibration
- Noise generated by noisy fans
Acoustic Dampening Case Panels
Our specialized noise-reducing foam is made of vibration- and sound-absorbinmg material, and is cut with surface “bumps” to provide optimal sound reduction, reducing audible noise transmitted through solid case panels by up to 75%!*
Vibration Damping Case Panels and Power Supplies
The Harmony SRS Sound Reduction system integrates specialized materials to insulate any vibrations caused by the power supply from your system. In addition, the system replaces potentially cheap and noisy case fans with premium ARC low-vibration fans.
Noise Reduction Case Fans
Most cases come with cheap fans, usually with noisy sleeve bearings with limited lifespan. With the iBUYPOWER SRS Sound Reduction System, we replace these fans with premium ARC fans, which use the unique ENLOBAL Magnetic Barometric Bearing, designed for minimal noise from friction and maximum life. The fan blades can be removed for cleaning when dust inevitably begins to build up.
With the Harmony SRX upgrade, we use ARC Cluster total control fans, with long-life TWISTER magnetic bearing technology (rated for 100k hours) and detachable batwing blade design to maximize static pressure and acoustic efficiency. These fans also have a White Lightning LED light that can be switched on or off.
While no one solution can completely silence a system, the iBUYPOWER Harmony SRS Sound Reduction System can significantly reduce the noise generated by a computer, allowing you to do more without being distracted by a noisy computer. iBUYPOWER highly recommends liquid cooling with this system to maximize acoustic efficiency and minimize noise.
