Hey,

Here is the situation:
My laptop is literally falling apart, one day my harddisk is not recognized, the other day I get a blue screen of death about my RAM etc. etc.. My whole system is not cooperating with each other..
My drive in Raid0 is failing, and apparently (according to BSOD) my processor is set to high?

Anyway, my laptop is as I said literally falling apart, but the problem is my warranty expired 10 days ago..
With all due respect but this is a tremendous burden..

I was wondering if their are any solution, or alternatives to this?
Is their a way to make a deal or something?

I called tech support yesterday, and they really helped me (for the first time ever) thanks for that!
But I forgot to ask this questions and I want to hear it from somebody else (because in the past I had two different answers from two different people)

Thanks,
Ruud van Houtum

I think your laptop is tryin to boot from the network instead of the harddrive. Can you try changing the boot sequence to HD first?

Did you change your harddrive recently? If you did try reconnecting the harddrive. If you didnt then make sure that it is booting from HD first in the bios.

Yeah I know, but my HD does boot first..
But one of them is failing..

That's why it says "Media not found"..

And that's why I am wondering if I could get some customer support of my warranty..
I mentioned this before (before my warranty was expired) but they give me a lot of option expect that my HD was possible failing..
IF they told me earlier, than I could send it back to them and replace it.. But now my warranty is expired..

So are there any options for me?
It is not my fold (as stated above), I believe if I could get help earlier I wouldn't have this problem now..

I tried to call again this week, but nobody picked up, I will try it again this week.
Also I would like to hear it from some moderator on the forum, because maybe I get two different answer

Thanks,
Ruud

If the raid array is failing and having issues with the HDD detecting most likely one of the drives may be at fault. It could be in relation also with the blue screen errors you receive. You can try disabling the Raid option within the BIOS then install Windows onto one of the drives. If the array has failed and using Raid 0 all information on the drive would be lost anyhow. See if testing the system with an individual drive can provide any results. you can also try running a check disk scan or a HDD diagnostic tool to help isolate a defective drive. See if this can provide any solution. Also if thinking there may be defective memory in the system try testing with 1 stick at a time or run a memory scan on the system. You can use the built in tool with Vista or you can use Memtest86 which is a free utility you can download and burn the image to a disk which will make it a bootable DVD.
