Greetings,

I just received my computer yesterday and am pleased to report that everything is running perfectly. In hindsight, though, I wish I had purchased more memory, as I am currently running on 6GB of Corsair Dominator 1333 DDR3. My mobo, Asus P6T, can handle another three sticks, but unfortunately the Dominator memory installed on my system is OEM. Does anyone happen to know what the equivalent retail version of this OEM memory is? Thanks very much.

You shouldn't need more than 6gb of memory unless you are using some unusual apps that can make use of that extra memory (some CGI apps might, etc.).

Most of the time Windows will only use about 4GB even in Vista. Perhaps in the future more RAM will be used, but that will possibly come after your current system is long since retired.

I wouldn't sweat it. Memory is such an easy and fairly cheap upgrade. 6 GB should be fine unless you're running some high end software and multitasking. I would stick with the 6 GB for a while and then once prices come down and you feel the need for an upgrade then add more. You can buy Corsair Dominator from Newegg.
