I've been watching closely to see when the prices on IBP would drop for the intel ssd's. They just did today but there's still no indication whether one can be sure of getting the superior 34nm models rather than the old ones. I am still debating whether or not to wait for Windows 7 anyway just to avoid the hassles associated with upgrading(mail in rebate, actually having to personally install Windows 7, etc). But I've been waiting a few months already after my last desktop died and I'm tired of Xbox 360...

Yes I've read extensive comparisons, that's why I want a G2. The problem is IBP just sells a 80GB MLC drive by Intel and doesn't identify it as G1 or G2. I understand they'd want to sell off any excess inventory of the old ones but I'd rather not be one of the people to get an old one.

The intel SSD's we carry are G1's, we do not carry any G2 models as of now. We are planning on getting some in shortly.
